Not all quartz is the same, however, and selecting the correct grade can have a significant impact on optical performance. Borosilicate is another material we regularly manufacture. Where greater heat resistance is required, Robax™ provides excellent stability at temperatures of up to 760°C, making it particularly suitable for furnace viewing panels and other high-temperature environments.
